Candida Symptoms

Candida is nearly an epidemic in our society and is responsible for many of the chronic illness categories we see so frequently.  Candida symptoms are vast and all-encompassing and can even incapacitate the individual.

Candida symptoms - Most people are unaware that it even exists, because most main stream doctors are uneducated about its impact on our health.  People suffering from this condition often go from doctor to doctor for years and are usually told they are a hypochondriac or that it is stress or a psychiatric problem, before ever discovering the real culprit.

The most common candida symptoms are the intestinal problems. This is where candida begins to infect the human body. From there it can travel throughout the body in a spore form if it punctures the intestinal walls with its hyphae, or leg like tendrils. However, most of the time candida is contained in the intestine, vagina and skin. Rarely does it enter the blood stream, if it does, the result is usually death.

Candida is such a difficult condition to diagnose because it can affect each sufferer in a different way, on a different part of their body, in a way that may even be unique to that person.

For this reason, Candida is often misdiagnosed and the Candida symptoms is treated instead of the underlying cause, rather like taking a lozenge for a throat infection!

Practically, patients often have to diagnose themselves because the Candida symptoms are so confusing. The consensus is that many more people are suffering from Candida than those few who are diagnosed correctly.
